We are very excited to bring you a unique, science-based Meditation Teacher Training Course using the acclaimed Mindfulness Meditation Plus program. Whether you wish to simply deepen your own practice or share your learning with others, this course is for you.
Many courses teach the ‘how to’ meditate and be mindful, but very few explain the ‘why’, or touch on the science at all. A greater understanding of the science leads to a readier acceptance. You will then be more likely to invest time in practicing, and consequently experience the many benefits.
As well as the science of meditation and mindfulness, the course covers the latest scientific understanding of emotions, impulses and happiness. No other courses offer this.

.
The course is an 80-hour science-based, face-to-face online Meditation Teacher Training course, using the Mindfulness Meditation Plus program. This course is accredited by the Meditation Association of Australia (MA), which is currently the only accrediting body established purely for overseeing and maintaining standards of Meditation teaching and training courses, in the world. Therefore, the course is of the highest calibre. And for many health practitioners, it can be used for CPD points.
The Mindfulness Meditation Plus program has been run by Sydney Institute of Meditation since 2020, and received nothing but 5-star reviews. Please take a look at the website, or the Google Business reviews for Sydney Institute of Meditation, to appreciate how rewarding, transformational and life-enhancing this program is.
Meditation Teacher Training Course Description
The course is a weekly, online 2-hour lesson, for 12 weeks. This allows time for real development and personal insight for students, as they practice different types of meditation, and learn about themselves. Part of the pleasure is the group discussions of the various topics, and being in the company of like-minded people. Listening to each other’s guided meditations in the later lessons of the course is fun and a valuable part of the learning process.
There are now two options:
- If you simply wish to deepen your own practice and understanding of meditation, you can choose to do the course without receiving a certificate at the end. This allows a participant to engage with the course to the level of their comfort. For example, if you prefer not to complete some of the course work, you do not need to. You can enjoy being guided by others, without having to do any guiding yourself. There is a discount for this option.
- The second option is for those who wish to receive a certificate at completion.
The course is practical, incorporates many different types of meditation, is experiential (in other words, lots of practice), and non-religious. It is also easy to understand. Read some of the reviews and comments from past students of Sydney Institute of Meditation.

“The way that the course was structured was really lovely; Susie built us up so well to feel completely supported as a group, that we were all able to guide everyone, which was incredibly helpful as this relates directly to my work. The process of feedback was fantastic, it was always constructive. I was really happy with the format and the program; Susie is very organised. The sessions were tightly facilitated and always commenced and concluded on time which was great. The textbook was fantastic, and the workbook was succinct and incredibly helpful. I feel I’ve got so many little takeaways.”

“The course really exceeded my expectations, I learnt and experienced much more than I thought I would. It increased my happiness factor, but also challenged and extended me in many ways. The course uses a really clear and concise text book and a practical work book, packed with information, research and meditation practices. It was not only a chance to gain insight into my own awareness, but to consolidate my personal meditation practice and build upon my existing knowledge and learn new things (many new things). Thank you Susie for delivering a professional course in a friendly and calm environment. This course has been the highlight of my year so far.”
